We've got a lot of catching up to do!

Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday I was ONE year old, and wearing my Halloween costume! But now, I'm TWO and it's nearly Easter! I'm going to try my best to catch you up over the next few posts. Things are pretty busy when you're TWO... I like to play A LOT! In fact, I'm pretty much either playing or sleeping- but mostly playing. I am talking quite a bit now, too. I have learned a lot of new words and phrases and like to repeat everything I hear. I'll have to share some of my favorites with you in a later post. I also love singing in my microphone, and pretending I'm performing on American Idol. I even close my eyes and throw back my arms when I sing, and always take a bow when they (Momma and Papa) applaud for me. Maurice is still my best buddy, but I have a new friend... Minnie Mouse. She's so pretty and goes with me everywhere. She's a great dancer too.

Well, that's all for now. I have a lot of catching up to do. Stay tuned! I love and miss you all tons and tons... and tons! (I have a lot more room for loving and missing, now that I am TWO!)

Santa Who? (23 months)

Usually I am quite the happy, smiley girl. I also love to get my picture taken. So, when Momma and Papa said they were taking me to see "Santa" so I could get my picture taken I was pretty excited. I had no idea who this Santa guy was, but he must be pretty important if I am going to see him. We waited in line for a really long time. Almost an hour, which feels like 3 days to an almost-two-year-old.
When we finally got to this Santa guy, I politely smiled and said hi. Then, the strangest thing happened. Momma picked me up and tried to put me on this strange looking man's lap. What ever happened to stranger danger, Momma? Clearly she must have forgotten the rule, so I quickly reminded her...

I refused to get on his lap, and made a run for it!

Momma still trying to get me to see Santa. This Santa guy just said, "Oh great." He knows I'm on to him.

Hopefully Momma will remember the stranger rule next time. I'm way smarter than she thinks.

On our walk home, we stopped by this gigantic Christmas tree surrounded by presents. Now THIS is where I would like to have my picture taken, please. With my Momma and Papa... not some strange Santa fella.
Phewww.

Much better!

So, I'm not opposed to this Santa guy, especially as he still left me  gifts on Christmas morning. Maybe I'll give it a shot again next year- after we've been properly introduced, of course!

LET IT SNOW! Christmastime at Disneyland (23 months old)

Momma took me to Disneyland just before Christmas to see the "snow" and fireworks- both for the first time. Wow! I have never been so amazed in all my life- all 23 months of it! When the fireworks started, I just couldn't stop laughing in amazement. It was the coolest thing I've ever seen. Then, Tinkerbell flew past the castle that was all lit up...magical! I couldn't believe my eyes. At the end of the spectacular show, it started to snow! I've never seen snow before. Momma later told me that it was actually bubbles, and not real snow, but it sure did seem real. Plus, I really love bubbles anyway, so it just made it all that much cooler!
Momma and I had dinner in front of the castle just before the fireworks show.

Mmmmm mmmm mmmm. Everything tastes better from a Mickey plate!

"Yay!"

covered in snow!

Lots and lots of love!

THANKSGIVING! (22 months old)

Continuing to catch you all up...

We took a trip to Tulsa to visit Nanny Sharon and Pops Mike in November for Thanksgiving! It was so much fun and I did a great job on the airplane! I ended up getting pretty sick while I was there, but that didn't stop me from participating in the festivities! I got to make cookies, for the very first time, with Nanny Sharon. Mmmm mmmm mmmm, they sure were yummy! I don't think Momma or Nanny Sharon noticed, but I ate quite a bit of cookie dough in the process.

Here are some some pictures from our trip...

Making cookies. "Roll, roll, roll."

"Roll, roll, roll."
"Mmmmm. Yummy!"

This is the best part of making cookies!
These are my special creations!

Halloween (21 months old)

HALLOWEEN! (More importantly, Nanny Sharon's Birthday!) We moved house (for the 2nd time in my life) over Halloween weekend, but I still managed to have a great time. I went Trick-or-Treating for the first time too! It was so much fun. After the first house, I was a Pro. I made sure we stopped at EVERY house with a light on. I just knocked on the door and shouted "Tweeeet!" People just GAVE me treats! Can you imagine? I had quite the supply of candy when the night was over. Not sure where it all disappeared to, though? Hey... wait a minute!
Getting ready to go to "Treats in the Streets" in Old Towne Orange!

Back to our old stomping grounds in Santa Ana, and ready to head out for trick-or- treating.

Let's go!

"I'm ready!"
Showing off some of my dance moves in Old Towne Orange. This song gets me every time! (If you're viewing this from your email, you'll have to go to my blog site to view the video).

Heading out for my first time trick-or-treating!

Just monkeying around!

Maurice is my monkey. Maurice is my best friend. Maurice is my best monkey friend. Whatever way you put it, I sure do love Maurice (or "Mmm Mmm" as I like to call him). He is so much fun to play with, and he now goes with me everywhere! Papa bought Maurice for me (and named him) before I was even born. Momma and Papa were out shopping for baby essentials and Maurice ended up in the shopping cart. It was love at first sight... for all of us.

I really like to put Maurice in my stroller, buckle him in so he is safe, and push him around the house. I also like to share my smoothies with him, and hold him like he's a baby and say "Shhhhh Shhhhh" while I rock him to sleep.

Here are  pictures of some of the fun times we've been having lately...

Cozy on the couch. Afternoon smoothie and cuddles with Maurice.

Putting Maurice in the stroller and buckling him in for safety.

"Ready, Mmm Mmm?"

Cuddles!

"Ta da!"

Sharing a snack with Maurice.

Best Buddies!

Here's a little video of my routine for putting Maruice in the stroller. I was doing some talking, but Momma managed to cut out the sound. Again. Oops! If you are viewing this blog post from your email, you will need to go to my site (www.littlebakedbean.blogspot.com) in order to view the video (and all videos). I'm getting pretty tech savy, aren't I?

Loads and loads of love,
Whitney Grace (& MTM... Maurice the Monkey) xoxoxo
